Santa's Wonderland Prices for One Big Night. Pebble Creek Can Make a Season of It.

Who is Santa's Wonderland really built for? The light trail, snow tubing and Texas Christmas Village sit at 18898 Hwy 6 South, roughly five miles down the highway from Pebble Creek Parkway by Google Maps' route. Most of the people who come aren't from around here, and the ticket prices show it.

That matters to the people who live closest. The 2026 season runs from November 13, 2026 through January 3, 2027. For a family a short drive away, the season can be a string of short visits spread over seven weeks. The prices and one new perk this year push in that direction.

The Crowd Comes From Hours Away

In July 2025, KBTX reported that, according to Visit College Station, most Santa's Wonderland visitors travel more than 50 miles. Almost half come from Houston and Austin, and 7% come from as far as Florida, California and Illinois. The station also reported the city had put $600,000 into the attraction since 2020. That money came from hotel occupancy taxes, which the city says can only be spent promoting tourism and the convention and hotel industries.

So the city treats Santa's Wonderland as a tourism draw, paid for with money from overnight guests. A family coming from Houston usually gets one night. They buy tickets, park, wait in line and drive home. Pebble Creek neighbors aren't limited to one night. Santa's Wonderland first opened in 1998 as a drive-thru light display, Community Impact noted in 2023. In all that time, living five miles away has been an advantage. The 2026 pricing makes it pay off.

The Price Ladder Looks Different Five Miles Away

The official pricing page has three ways in. Here they are side by side with the season pass:

Ticket type, 2026 season Adult Child
Any-day online, with $2.25 ticketing fee $45.20 $40.20
Gate admission $59.95 $54.95
Season pass online, with $2.25 ticketing fee $101.20 $96.20
Season pass at the gate $114.95 $109.95

Sales tax is extra on all of these. The pre-season Super Saver tickets were $40 for adults and $35 for children with the fee, but they went off sale October 22. Only the tiers in the table are still on sale.

The gap between tiers matters most if you plan to go more than once. One online adult ticket is $45.20. Two are $90.40, still under the online season pass. A third makes it $135.60, which is $34.40 more than the $101.20 pass. Children's tickets follow the same pattern: three online visits come to $120.60, against a $96.20 pass.

Buying at the gate costs more either way. Two gate visits come to $119.90 for an adult, more than an online season pass costs.

For a visitor from Austin, the third visit almost never happens. Pebble Creek is close enough that a third and fourth trip is easy, and the pass also covers:

  • A souvenir mug with unlimited hot cocoa and coffee
  • 10% off food, drinks and merchandise
  • 10% off photos, including Santa and the Texas Snow Globe
  • 10% off Petting Zoo admission and Pony Rides

Parking Is What Changed for 2026

Season pass holders get free parking in the Blitzen Lot all season. The venue lists it as "BRAND NEW for 2026" and calls it a $25 value. It's the only change the venue labels as new this year. Its attractions page lists the familiar hayride, snow playground, walkable light trail and snow tubing.

Parking at Santa's Wonderland also works as a reservation system. The parking page lists three lots:

Rudolph VIP: Closest to the entrance, sold online only.

Blitzen: Permits sold online and on-site while they last, and now free all season for pass holders.

Dasher: Across Hwy 6 from the park, with shuttles starting when the park opens.

A permit comes with a time slot. Guests are asked to arrive close to their slot and can't enter more than 30 minutes early, and the on-site lots open no more than an hour before the park does. Someone driving in from Houston has to guess at highway traffic to make that window. From Pebble Creek it's a short drive down Hwy 6. With the pass covering Blitzen, a repeat visit costs that drive and nothing else.

The venue's own tips for busy nights are to arrive near opening, buy VIP parking and express passes ahead of time, and save tickets on your phone because cell service in the park can be spotty. That last tip is the one that comes up at the entrance gate.

The Calendar Rewards Living Close

The schedule also favors people who can come back on short notice. Opening night, Friday, November 13, runs 6 p.m. to midnight. Closing day, January 3, runs 3 to 11 p.m. Hours on other dates vary, so check the official calendar before you go.

Two event windows on the events page are worth knowing about:

  • Military Appreciation, November 13 to 15: Free general admission for veterans and active-duty military with valid military ID. Family members aren't included.
  • Sensory-friendly hours, November 15 and January 3, 3 to 6 p.m.: These come at the very start and very end of the season.

With a pass, you could go to the sensory-friendly hours on November 15, come back for a weeknight walk on the light trail in December, and finish with the January 3 afternoon session. The pass covers all three, and Blitzen parking is free every time. For a family coming from out of state, that kind of season would take three separate trips.

The Free Half of the Season Is Across Town

Santa's Wonderland is only part of the holiday calendar. The other big draw is free and run by the city. Christmas in the Park lights up Stephen C. Beachy Central Park every night from 6 to 11 p.m., November 26 through January 1. Admission is free, and you can drive through or walk. Its lights come on almost two weeks after Santa's Wonderland opens and go dark two days before it closes.

Saturday, December 5 is the city's big holiday day, and it fills the whole afternoon and evening:

  1. 3:30 p.m.: Jingle Bell Fun Run.
  2. 4 p.m.: The College Station Christmas Parade leaves Post Oak Mall and follows Holleman, Dartmouth, Southwest Parkway and Krenek Tap to Beachy Central Park.
  3. 6 to 10 p.m.: Christmas in the Park event with hayrides, cookies, cocoa, live entertainment and photos with Santa. Activities require a wristband and a signed waiver.

Plan your route for that day. Recreation Drive is closed from 7 a.m. to midnight, cars can't drive through Beachy Central Park, and a shuttle runs from the Post Oak Mall parking lot from 4 p.m. to midnight.

With a season pass, you don't have to choose between the two on December 5. Give that Saturday to the parade and the park, then go to Santa's Wonderland on a quieter night that week. The pass costs the same whichever nights you pick, and the city lights are free every night through January 1.

The season pass sells online for $98.95 per adult before the $2.25 fee. From November 13 on, every visit after your third is essentially free, and so is Blitzen parking.

Every holiday season, Santa's Wonderland brings in visitors from Houston, Austin and farther away, and they all need somewhere to stay. If you own a rental near Hwy 6 south, or you're considering a short-term rental for next season, Northgate Realty Group can walk you through how our property management team handles holiday bookings. If you're coming home with a mug of free cocoa and starting to picture life in Pebble Creek year-round, we're here for that too. Whoop!
